  • My favorite memory of Lucky when he was a kid in Lanham was that when he came to play baseball in the Lee’s field, he always hit one in the outfield and sent us younger kids scrambling!

  • Condolences to the entire family on the death of Charles Shryock-

  • Charles M. Shryock III served as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Community Ministry of Prince George’s County. His services and leadership direction helped this over 41 year old charity provide services to thousands of underserved members of our community.

  • Hello, I was wondering if this Parish or any Catholic church in the area holds Spanish mass on Sundays? I have been looking all over and it seems there are none in the area near this parish. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

  • Sorry to hear about David Bernstein. He was a family friend for years.

Psalm 27:4-5 “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”

  • Rest in peace Richard. Check out Ben when you get up there.❤️

  • Peaceful quiet. A beautiful haven in heaven.

  • This session is very worthwhile if you have recently lost a loved one. I attended it about a month after my mother passed away. I found it very helpful. Also, the grief support group is worth your time. It is a loving, nurturing group where you will find a place to grieve and heal.

  • Father Jordan was very important to me and to my wife in the 1970’s in New York. We met before a 10 o’clock mass at St. Ignatius Loyola. I had left the sanctuary during the homily. Father Jordan introduced himself.
I told him why I was waiting for the homily to end and he said, “Come to the family mass at 10”which I did. Thereafter my wife and I would take turns at the family mass.
Father Jorden invited us to the apartment he shared with fellow priests near 125th Street. I remember his telling us that he always left his two-way radio on and would go to fires. He said perhaps his fathe4 and grandfather were firefighters. He had his fellow priests were so committed, so loyal.
I also remember he mentioned St Paul’s Chapel where he would go on Sundays. I was there today

  • George, I will hug you the next time you play at 6pm Mass. For now I send my thoughts and prayers to you and family.
