The Association of the Antorcha Guadalupana began at the end of the 20th centuary in the United States thanks to the Association of the Antorhca Guadalupana in New York. The first few years of the Association the running of the torch would begin on the U.S side of the border between Mexico and the United States and ended in the Cathedral of San Patrick in New York City.
