The Faith Formation Program at Saint Matthias Parish is dedicated to nurturing a lifelong journey of understanding, living, and loving the Catholic faith. We believe that faith formation is not just preparation for sacraments, it's a continuous process that guides students and families to grow closer to Christ through knowledge, prayer, and service.
We are committed to:
To ensure proper formation, a minimum of two consecutive years of classes is required before receiving any sacrament. This includes both First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Students are expected to attend and complete each year of the Faith Formation program regardless of the specific sacrament they are preparing for.
Additionally, community service hours are required and must be completed before all sacramental Masses.
We strongly encourage families to remain engaged in the Faith Formation Program every year of a child’s development, not only in the years leading up to a sacrament.
