One Response to Reverend Milton Jordan Formally Installed as Pastor

  • Father Jordan was very important to me and to my wife in the 1970’s in New York. We met before a 10 o’clock mass at St. Ignatius Loyola. I had left the sanctuary during the homily. Father Jordan introduced himself.
I told him why I was waiting for the homily to end and he said, “Come to the family mass at 10”which I did. Thereafter my wife and I would take turns at the family mass.
Father Jorden invited us to the apartment he shared with fellow priests near 125th Street. I remember his telling us that he always left his two-way radio on and would go to fires. He said perhaps his fathe4 and grandfather were firefighters. He had his fellow priests were so committed, so loyal.
I also remember he mentioned St Paul’s Chapel where he would go on Sundays. I was there today
