Admissions Policy
Qualified students will be admitted in the following sequence, if space is available.
Faculty/ Staff children and siblings of current students
- Children of registered, participating parishioners of St. Matthias Apostle Parish.
- Children of registered members of Holy Family Parish, Mitchellville, MD
- Children of registered members of Catholic Parishes.
- Non-catholics
A qualified student is defined as a student
- Who has satisfactory grades on recent report cards
- Has performed on grade level as indicated by standardized test scores
- Has received satisfactory grades in conduct
- Has performed satisfactorily on screening test administered by St. Matthias School
- Has not been absent/late excessively
- Meets the age requirement
All students who attend St. Matthias Apostle School are required to attend formal class instruction in Catholic Church doctrine and attend any required Catholic Church services.
