The PSLC will host parish mothers on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13th and parish fathers on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17th in Friendship Hall

Why do we need this committee?
Humanity needs socialization. This group will work to organize, promote and maintain community fellowship by way of events, activities and programs. These functions will lead to improved networking and Evangelization.
The goals of the Hospitality Committee are 1.) to build and support the parish community by bringing people together 2.) to form bonds and develop a deeper spiritual knowledge with other parishioners 3.) to establish and maintain a welcoming environment of comfort and relaxation for our parishioners and guests.
What is our strategy?
As committee members, we should have Vision. We must open our eyes, be mindful to the needs of the parish community. Based on our observations, we need to develop Plans. Present ideas that address these needs. As a committee, we must be able to Coordinate these plans and Produce an end product.
What kind of Productions?
Some categories may include:
1.) Picnics; (outdoor eating)
4.) Special Day Recognitions (esp. Mothers’ Day);
5.) Holidays (esp. Christmas) luncheons, Parties
6.) Special Occasions (acknowledging events and visitors esp. Adoration Chapel/Church flooring)
7.) Fund Raising (bake sales, Toys 4 Tots, fun/fund walks, etc.)
8.) New Member Recognition and “Welcome Package”
9.) After Mass Refreshments (coffee and doughnuts each Week? Bi-Monthly? Monthly?)
10.) Diversity Day Celebrations (acknowledging and experiencing the rich cultural make up of St. Matthias Church community)
